Why are these drinks better than others?

Most of these drinks have in common a low sugar content, high nutrient density, and good body tolerance. Iced tea, for example, contains polyphenols that help fight oxidative stress. Kombucha, on the other hand, is rich in probiotics, which are beneficial for the gut microbiota.

Coconut water stands out for its mineral profile: potassium, sodium, magnesium , etc. It’s ideal after physical activity or during a heatwave. As for homemade flavored waters, they’re a simple and natural way to add flavor without falling into the trap of hidden sugar.

But not all these drinks are created equal. “You have to be careful with ready-made versions,” warns Alexandra Murcier. “Many contain added sugars or artificial flavors that take away any health benefits.”
