Iced tea, coconut water, kombucha… Bored with your water bottle? Don’t panic. Summer offers its share of refreshing, tasty, and, above all, healthy drinks. And some are even recommended by nutrition experts.

While water remains essential for proper hydration, you can definitely vary your pleasures without risking dehydration. This is explained by Alexandra Murcier, a dietitian and nutritionist, who shares her favorite alternatives to keep in your fridge all summer long.

Iced teas, flavored waters, kombucha… which drinks should you choose?

First instinct: forget about sodas and sugary drinks. Their thirst-quenching effect is deceptive, and their impact on blood sugar is far from trivial. However, some natural drinks tick all the boxes for healthy and enjoyable hydration.

  • THEiced tea House: Cold brewed or chilled after traditional infusion, iced tea is low in calories (if sugar-free) and rich in antioxidants. It can be flavored with fresh fruit for even more flavor.
