I washed my son’s clothes and noticed strange little yellowish balls on the sleeve of a sweater — I was horrified to discover what they were

At first, I thought it was just dust or pollen… But upon closer inspection, it looked like something was moving inside each ball. I almost dropped the garment in fear.

Experts say moths can lay their eggs on clothes, especially if they’ve been left in a closet for a long time or are damp. Drying them outdoors, where the insects live in grass or bushes, increases the risk.

Apparently, the smell of wool or human sebum residue attracted the moth—and it chose the sweater as the ideal place to lay its eggs.

The worst part is that the eggs are almost invisible. They can stick to the fabric and survive even after washing, especially if the clothes have been air-dried.
