If left undetected, tiny larvae emerge, burrow into the fibers, and literally destroy the fabric from the inside out. The garment is ruined, and other items in the wardrobe may become contaminated.
I rewashed everything at a high temperature and ironed it through a damp cloth – this is one way to kill the eggs.
Now I only dry my clothes indoors or on a covered balcony. I also put lavender sachets and cedarwood blocks in the closet – natural remedies against moths.
Be careful. Sometimes even a simple drying out can cause real trouble.
