One very hot day, a dog was locked in a car. When I noticed that he was already having trouble coping with the heat, I tried to help him, and what happened next surprised me.

The dog was defenseless, and this man didn’t even seem to understand the danger.

The decision came instantly. I grabbed the nearest rock and smashed the car window.

The alarm sounded, passersby turned around, but I couldn’t wait any longer.

Opening the door, I pulled the dog out of the heat and suffocation trap. He was weak, but alive.

I immediately started giving him water, feeling the tension and fear lift.

Then the owner ran into the parking lot—red with anger and sweat. His words were harsh, but I knew: today I had saved a life, and that was what mattered most.
