We were told that tick eggs are very small, about 0.5 mm, and resemble poppy seeds. They often hide in tufts of grass, under leaves, or in woodpiles. Therefore, such a discovery should never be ignored.
To get rid of it, the specialist advised us:
β
Remove all leaves and debris around the affected area
β
Consult a veterinarian to treat animals
β
Plant tick-repellent plants such as rosemary, chrysanthemums, or mint
β
Keep the lawn well mowed
β
Keep woodpiles away from the house
If you ever notice this kind of pile, don’t delay: it’s better to prevent it by calling an expert than to have to face serious consequences later.
