- Cold, purplish skin on extremities:
Circulation decreases, so the hands, feet, and lips may turn blue or purplish. It’s also common for the skin to feel cold to the touch, especially on the extremities
- Emotional and spiritual retreat:
Many patients stop communicating with their surroundings, even when conscious. They enter an introspective state, as if they were already internally saying goodbye to the physical world.
- Hallucinations or visions of deceased loved ones:
It’s common for people to talk to deceased relatives or report seeing “angels” or “light.” This, beyond the medical implications, is interpreted by many cultures as a spiritual preparation for passing away.
- Sudden relaxation or unexpected energy rush:
Interestingly, some people experience a brief period of lucidity or energy shortly before death. They may talk, smile, or ask for food, which sometimes confuses family members. This is one of the last stages before the body finally ceases its functions.
